LAMINATORS

THE ROLE

Successful candidates will be located at our workshop in Segensworth and will be required to work an 8-hour shift from 10.00 – 18:00 (shift pattern may be negotiable for the appropriate candidate). Given the nature of our business discretion is of the upmost importance and you will be required to sign an NDA and complete appropriate security checks. You will be a key part of an evolving team working on unique projects that push the norms of traditional maritime businesses. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Mould preparation including Polishing/Sealing & Waxing.

  • Cutting composite materials according to build schedules/plans.

  • Applying Gelcoat.

  • Hand layup using Polyester & Vinylester resins.

  • Applying core materials.

  • Cutting/tailoring structures and bonding them.

  • Finishing/Fairing (experience dependant, not a necessity).

  • Maintaining standards in the workshop and utilising tools and materials in a safe and conscientious manner. 


REQUIREMENTS

  • You will have at least 5 years’ experience of Hand Layup preferably in the Marine Industry. Experience of Pre-Preg and Infusion is also desirable but not a necessity. 

  • You will be used to working in a demanding environment and are motivated to make critical deadlines. 

  • You are used to maintaining high standards of work and are comfortable being responsible for the quality of your job. 

  • You will enjoy working as part of a larger team and will be able to communicate with colleagues throughout the business.
