MARINE / MECHANICAL ENGINEER

THE ROLE

Successful candidates will be located at our workshop in Segensworth and will be required to work an 8-hour shift from 9.00 – 17:00. Given the nature of our business discretion is of the upmost importance and you will be required to sign an NDA and complete appropriate security checks. You will be a key part of an evolving team working on unique projects that push the norms of traditional maritime businesses. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Installation of primarily Inboard Engines

  • Fit-out of hardware & components 

  • Electrical wiring

  • Ensure vessels meet required safety standards 

  • Diagnose potential mechanical problems and implement preventative measures

  • Attend demonstrations and shows and provide onsite engineering support 

  • Communicate effectively with designers/boat builders to promote an efficient build process 

REQUIREMENTS

  • You will have at least 3 years of experience of Marine/Mechanical Engineering 

  • You will have experience working with Yanmar, Volvo, MTU and/or ZF 

  • Experience working with Outdrives

  • Mercury and/or Barrus certification desirable  

  • You will be used to working in a demanding environment and are adept at making critical deadlines 

  • You will enjoy working as part of a larger team and are able to communicate effectively with colleagues throughout the business
