  • Support employees, contractors and line managers throughout screening and vetting activities.
  • Monitor and track screening and vetting progress, ensuring activities are completed within agreed timescales.
  • Maintain accurate personnel security records, clearance information and vetting documentation.
  • Manage security registers, trackers and databases.
  • Support personnel changes that may impact security requirements, including role changes and transfers.
  • Assist with security clearance reviews, renewals and aftercare activities.
  • Maintain records relating to overseas travel and overseas visits.
  • Support visitor management processes and associated documentation.
  • Provide administrative support across the wider security function.
  • Contribute to the continual improvement of personnel security and administration processes.

What we're looking for

  • Previous administration experience within a confidential, regulated or structured environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence using databases, spreadsheets and administrative systems.
  • High levels of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • A proactive and dependable approach to work.
  • Eligibility to obtain the required UK Security Clearance.

Desirable experience

  • Experience supporting personnel security, vetting or clearance activities.
  • Knowledge of BPSS screening and UK Security Vetting processes.
  • Experience working within defence, engineering, maritime or another regulated sector.
  • Experience maintaining personnel security records and security databases.
  • Understanding of security clearance renewals and aftercare processes.
  • Current UK Security Clearance.

How you'll work

You'll take pride in delivering accurate, timely and professional support. You will be trusted to handle sensitive information with discretion, build effective relationships across the business and ensure security processes are administered to a consistently high standard.

You'll enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues while also being confident managing your own workload and priorities. Above all, you'll help promote a culture of professionalism, compliance and continuous improvement across the organisation.
