Stores Person

At Kraken, we design, build and support cutting-edge autonomous maritime systems. We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Stores Person to join our Operations team and support the efficient running of our stores and inventory functions.

In this role, you'll be responsible for managing the flow of materials through the business, ensuring stock accuracy, supporting production schedules, and maintaining efficient storage and inventory processes. You'll play a vital role in ensuring our engineering and production teams have the materials they need to deliver innovative maritime technology.

• Pick, pack and issue components for production in line with schedules, BOM requirements and system processes, ensuring accurate stock transactions.
• Coordinate the receipt, storage, and issue of goods, ensuring accurate inventory records.
• Verify incoming deliveries correspond to the quality and quantity ordered, informing relevant departments of any shortages or reject items.
• Packing of goods for despatch/carrier booking which may include heavy lifting.
• Ensuring compliance with delivery procedures and that all documentation is collated and stored effectively.
• Support regular stock checks, cycle counting to maintain high levels of inventory accuracy.
• Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels
• Maintain accurate records of stock movements, including receipts, issues, and adjustments.
• Be highly organised and deliver on set objectives successfully and efficiently to set deadlines.
• Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of stores areas.
• Adhere to all health and safety elements in line with company policy.
• Support other departments when required.
• Kitting Cages to Bays for production readiness.
• Supporting the Production Control Team.
• Support continuous improvement activities, including 6S standards, workplace organisation and process improvements

• Experience using ERP or MRP systems.
• Experience working within an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment.
• Experience of goods receipt, stock control, picking and issuing materials.
• Good understanding of inventory management and stock control processes.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage priorities and work effectively to deadlines.
• Good communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues across the business.
• A positive attitude and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

• FLT licence
• Good understanding of 6S principles
• Experience using barcode scanners/PDA handhelds
• Full clean driving licence
• MRP 123 Insight experience desirable
