About the role
We’re looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to help lead the development of our platforms, working across the full system lifecycle — from early concept through to deployment and in-service support.
You’ll take ownership of systems engineering activities, bringing structure to complexity and ensuring our systems are robust, compliant and ready for real-world use.
This is a hands-on technical role where you’ll collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, as well as customers, suppliers and external stakeholders.
What you'll be doing
- Lead systems engineering activities across the full lifecycle
- Capture, define and manage system requirements, ensuring traceability through to verification
- Develop system architectures across mechanical, electrical and control systems
- Support key programme reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR)
- Drive integration activities and manage interfaces across subsystems
- Support verification and validation, including test planning and execution
- Contribute to safety engineering activities (hazard analysis, risk assessment, safety cases)
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations and industry requirements
- Act as a technical point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
What we're looking for
- Strong experience in systems engineering across the full lifecycle
- Experience defining and managing requirements in complex systems
- A track record of developing system architectures
- Good understanding of integration, interfaces and multidisciplinary engineering
- Experience working closely with mechanical, electrical and software teams
- Knowledge of verification and validation methods
- An understanding of safety engineering principles
- Confidence working independently and leading technical workstreams
Desirable experience
- Experience with autonomous or remotely operated systems
- Familiarity with regulated environments (e.g. maritime)
- Technical or project leadership experience
