About the role
To provide independent assurance of compliance with all business procedures, maintenance and regulatory standards and to develop processes to minimise quality escapes. To maintain an effective Quality Management System (QMS) across the UK business. This will include the full scope of problem solving from leading such events, through to interacting with customers, both internally and externally, as well as dealing with technical issues and facilitating improvements.
What you'll be doing
Quality Assurance and Compliance
- Carry out process, product and compliance audits across new and existing operations
- Provide independent assurance that internal procedures and regulatory standards are met
- Support the development and maintenance of our Quality Management System (QMS)
Continuous Improvement
- Identify risks and opportunities to reduce quality escapes
- Drive improvements using structured problem-solving methods such as 8D and root cause analysis
- Promote best practice across teams through operational monitoring and engagement
Investigation and Problem Solving
- Lead or support investigations into quality issues
- Work with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges
- Ensure corrective and preventative actions are robust and completed on time
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Engineering, Operations and Support teams
- Liaise with customers and suppliers where required
- Support company-wide initiatives to improve performance and customer satisfaction
Documentation and Standards
- Produce Quality Assurance documentation, plans and procedures
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, customer and third-party requirements
- Support approvals for new product introduction (NPI)
What we're looking for
- HNC or equivalent
- Training in Quality Management and Root Cause Analysis
- Experience with internal and external audits
- Working knowledge of engineering or manufacturing environment
Desirable experience
- Experience in production, maintenance, repair or overhaul
- Knowledge of modern quality tools and techniques
- Professional certification such as CQI membership
- Aeronautical or engineering apprenticeship background
