About the role
The Product Owner will be responsible for the ongoing engineering management of Kraken platforms as an operational product.
The role focuses on maintaining product integrity post-deployment, managing engineering change, supporting customer engagement, and ensuring continued compliance with regulatory and certification requirements.
You will act as the focal point for all product-related queries and changes, ensuring that modifications are controlled, justified, and aligned with operational needs, safety requirements, and business priorities.
What you'll be doing
Product Ownership & In-Service Management
- Maintain a clear understanding of deployed configurations across platforms
- Manage the product backlog for enhancements, fixes, and customer-driven changes
Engineering Change Management
- Support the Engineering Change Request (ECR) process
- Assess, prioritise, and coordinate changes across multidisciplinary teams
- Ensure changes are impact-assessed
- Support change control boards
- Maintain configuration control and ensure documentation is updated accordingly
Certification & Compliance Support
- Support certification and regulatory approval activities for in-service platforms
- Act as a focal point for certification queries, modifications, and change implications
- Support updates to safety artefacts (e.g. hazard logs, FMECA, safety case) where changes impact risk
Delivery & Operational Support
- Ensure engineering changes are appropriately verified and validated before release
- Coordinate fix implementation, upgrades, and retrofit activities
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of complex system issues
Documentation & Configuration Control
- Ensure product documentation reflects the current configuration baseline
- Support development and maintenance of technical documentation and release notes
What we're looking for
- Experience in a systems engineering or product ownership role
- Understanding of engineering change and configuration management processes
- Experience working with multi-disciplinary stakeholders
Desirable experience
- Experience in the maritime domain
- Experience with autonomous systems
- Experience manging systems in operational service
