About the role

The HR Co-ordinator will provide reliable and responsive administrative support throughout the employee lifecycle, helping the HR function deliver an accurate, organised and positive service to employees and managers. Working closely with the HR Director, the role will support contractual documentation, onboarding, employee benefits, HR systems and routine day-to-day HR queries.

This is a varied, hands-on role within a rapidly changing and growing business. The successful candidate will help maintain accurate employee records and effective HR processes, support the implementation and ongoing use of AccessHR, and contribute to a consistent and welcoming employee experience.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare accurate employment documentation, including offer letters, contracts, contractual amendments, probation correspondence and other routine HR letters, using approved templates.
  • Co-ordinate the onboarding process for new starters, including pre-employment checks, joining instructions, induction arrangements and ensuring required documentation is completed and retained.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date employee records within AccessHR and other relevant systems, ensuring data is entered promptly and handled confidentially.
  • Support the implementation and ongoing administration of AccessHR, helping to keep workflows, employee information and HR documentation organised and current.
  • Help administer the employee benefits portal, ensuring benefit information is clear, accurate and accessible, and support employees with routine benefit queries and enrolment processes.
  • Provide administrative support for employee benefits, including private medical insurance, group life assurance, pension and other company benefits, liaising with providers where required.
  • Act as a friendly first point of contact for routine HR questions, resolving straightforward queries and referring more complex or sensitive matters to the HR Director.
  • Support employee lifecycle processes, including changes to terms, family leave administration, probation reviews, leavers and exit documentation.
  • Provide recruitment administration when required, including arranging interviews, communicating with candidates and preparing recruitment documentation.
  • Support the review and maintenance of HR templates, guidance and portal content so information remains clear, consistent and up to date.
  • Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement activities as the company grows.

What we're looking for

  • CIPD Level 3 qualification, or equivalent practical HR experience.
  • Recent experience in HR administration across the employee lifecycle, including some exposure to straightforward employee relations matters. Training can be provided to develop employee relations knowledge.
  • A good working understanding of UK employment legislation relevant to HR administration.
  • Previous experience in an HR, people administration role, or a relevant HR qualification with demonstrable administrative experience.
  • Experience preparing employment contracts, offer letters and other contractual documentation.
  • Experience co-ordinating onboarding and pre-employment processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to prepare accurate documentation and maintain reliable employee records.
  • A methodical and well organised approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities, follow tasks through and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly, helpful and professional approach to employees and managers at all levels.
  • Ability to handle personal and sensitive information with discretion, confidentiality and sound judgement.
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, rapidly changing and scaling organisation.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and able to learn new HR systems quickly.
  • A practical, proactive approach, with the confidence to resolve routine issues and recognise when a matter should be escalated.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Hold a valid UK driving licence and be able to travel as required for the role.

Desirable experience

  • A higher-level CIPD qualification, CIPD membership, or active study towards either.
  • Experience administering employee benefits and liaising with benefit providers.
